Oh... my... God... unbelievably tasty!!! They have a sharing menu (tapas style). We had the fenouille, ail, aubergine, cru and carotte. For desert we had the riz au lait and sesame noir. Everything was amazing; my favorites were the aubergine, cru and carotte and my favorite desert was the sesame noir. We also had white wine, the Cairanne. Everything was incredible!

Warm and friendly welcome. Food is a delight for the palate. Flavors of flavor that are not made at home. That's exactly why I go to the restaurant.

Creative, delicious, really impressive cuisine, a fusion of nouvelle French and terroir with tapas-sized dishes, each one being a discovery. "Menu degustation" was the way to go. Casablanca cocktail was insane! Good wine list. Desserts were a crown, felt like licking the plate. Place is small and loud, with open kitchen which gives added character to the place. Waiters were great and worked all tables together, this made a great flow of the evening. I would call this the best food experience in Laurentians. Rival Maison Publique and Chasse-Gallerie in Montreal!

A must try in the area. Go for the tasting menu.lots of creative flavors and terroir goods. Ends with a wonderful desert board!

Service was quite slow. The food was not bad, it just really lacked the 'edge' and flavors were very shallow. One dish arrived with a really long hair curled in, and nothing was done to make up for the inconvenience except giving a shot of rum. Mediocre at best, and definitely too pricey.

This place is totally worth the visit! Seriously. We had fantastic service, ate like royalty and were provided excellent wine choices by the sommelier. Rather than opt for the tasting menu, we basically created our own and indulged! En plus, they’ve even got fabulous cocktails and local ‘liquids’ to satisfy everyone’s tastes. Strongly recommend making a reservation.

Very good experience. Charming place in the region to eat. The dishes are very good and well prepared. We did 1 hour drive from Montreal and no regrets. They also serve good cocktails.

Every course hit the mark. Flavourful, rich, and interesting. Neither too heavy, nor too light; the meal left me feeling just right. The front of house team and ambience was great too!

Disappointing experience overall, exorbitant prices for tiny portions, under the pretext of a tapas formula. Could not have a conversation with the ambient noise, and no interest from the server for a comment on the level of music ... really bad, the undeniable quality of dishes would have deserved a better atmosphere and better service, with less pretense. Val-David does not lack excellent culinary experiences with good value for money, but L'Épicurieux is not one of them.

Impeccable Foie Gras and Rack of Lamb Pizza.

The one star I gave is just for service, which is really nice here. We didn't like the food at all mostly because many dishes here are made of raw meat and fish. Perhaps, some people like it, I am definitely not one of them, and neither my husband. We stopped by just because I saw the impeccable 5.0 star reviews. If they wouldn't serve very good bread, we would've left completely hungry. Very expensive and not worthwhile in my opinion.

Restaurant whose service is impeccable. The dishes are sought after and worked and incorporate several local ingredients. On Wednesdays and Thursdays there is the possibility of having 5 courses (chef's selection) for $ 30 / person. The dishes are of a high quality.

We opted for the $ 50 per person tasting menu and the food was all very good. However, apart from the tartare, we had only veggie dishes and very few hot items. We would have appreciated having another dish of meat or fish. For this reason, I think it is much more advantageous to choose the dishes à la carte.

Nice snack bar on the riverside. Nice atmosphere, simple and good BBQ menu in summer, pretty sunny terrace next to the boat launching. Warm atmosphere and cute decor.

We were delighted with our dinner at this place. The menu does not suggest the range of delicacies offered. Authentic cuisine, with fresh ingredients, cooked with a certain know-how. The $ 5 extra for cucumber salad and berry pudding was well worth it.

Better late than never. We celebrated my mother's 60th birthday in May. We were about twenty people and it was an exceptional evening, without fail! The service, the food as well as the wine (the wines) were incredible. No wait for anything despite the fact that we were a group. If you are passing through the area, it is a mandatory stop, you will not regret it. A big thank you !
